Fly fishing vests are one of those pieces of fly fishing gear that anglers often times either overlook completely or try to save money on by purchasing the cheapest fishing vest in town - especially if they happened to just buy an expensive fly rod and reel.

Unfortunately, a fly fishing vest, as you use it constantly and will be wearing it for extended periods of time, is a very important piece of fly fishing gear. A poor performing fishing vest can lead to a number of problems, not the least of which is unorganized gear, wasted time rummaging through your vest for things that should be handy and discomfort.

As such, any angler should make sure they have a good fly fishing vest. Happily, a good quality fly fishing vest really doesn't cost much more than a cheap fishing vest - and it will last much longer and perform better.
