The Sea Eagle
9 inflatable raft (SE 9) is an excellent raft for both fly fishing
and recreational river floating. Rated to handle Class III whitewater,
the Sea Eagle 9 inflatable raft has numerous options and a large
capacity that also make it an excellent platform for fly fishing.
The ability to add a motor to the raft also comes in handy for
anyone who spends time fishing on lakes or traversing areas of
slack water.

Sea Eagle 9 Inflatable Raft : Summary
The Sea Eagle 9 inflatable
raft, just like it's slightly smaller cousin the Sea Eagle 8,
is an excellent, high-quality inflatable raft
that works well for both fly fishing and recreational river running.
The Sea Eagle 9 is simple to set up, very portable and incredibly
versatile. The ability to add on extras such as motormounts, floor
boards, sun canopies, windshields and bench seats greatly expands
the functional uses of this inflatable fishing boat.
The Sea Eagle 9 inflatable fishing boat is identical in all respects
to the Sea Eagle 8 (read our review for more information), except
in size and capacity. The Sea Eagle 9 has a huge capacity - 1200
lbs! This is so big, in fact, that you can literally carry a Moose
in this inflatable raft. Needless so say, such a huge capacity
allows paddlers to carry a weeks worth of gear on extended river
trips.
The SE 9 is rated for
5 adults. While 5 adults can indeed fit in this inflatable raft,
it will be a tight squeeze - leaving little
to no room for gear. In reality, the Sea Eagle 9 inflatable fishing
boat is comfortable for 3 people on a day trip with some gear or
2 people on a day trip with lots of gear or 1-2 people on overnight
trips.
Additionally, the Sea
Eagle 9 inflatable fishing boat can, when used with the motor
mount, take a 4 h.p. motor. While a small motor, since the raft
is so light, the motor is perfectly capable of moving the boat
along at a fairly decent clip.
