Inflatable catamaran
kayaks are a differnet breed of kayak. Traditional inflatable
kayaks have a flat bottom surface, similar to a raft. While these
kayaks are very stable, one drawback they have is that the paddler
sits very low on the water and the flat surface creates extra
drag when paddling on flat surfaces.
The Sea Eagle inflatable
catamaran kayaks gets rid of these disadvantages. These inflatable
kayaks, instead of having a flat bottom base, have instead two
pontoon tubes that run down the length of the kayak. In many
respects, catamaran kayaks resemble catamaran sailboats - with
two tubes on the outside and the main section of the boat spanning
the middle.

As a result, catamaran
kayaks are incredibly stable. You really have to work at it to
tip one of these inflatable kayaks over. Additionally, the paddler
sits much higher off the water, since instead of sitting almost
at water level, the paddler sits atop the pontoon tubes. Finally,
the pontoon tubes on these kayaks have a bow shape. The combination
of the bow shape on the pontoon tubes and the less water surface
area of the boat, greatly enhances paddling speed and ease on
flat water and lakes.

Description
The Sea Eagle 395 Paddle Ski is a totally new kind of
paddling kayak, an inflatable catamaran with a kayak
shaped bow. Because
there is far less surface area (only the pontoons are
in the water), the drag is greatly reduced and the kayak
